Sampling

To infer values for population data, we take samples. This section on Sampling will provide some important background information that will be necessary to understand the remainder of the course. In this chapter, we will discuss the following:

  • What is a random sample and why is it important?
  • An introduction to Point and Interval Estimates.
  • The Central Limit Theorem
  • An example calculation – Sampling Distributions of Sample Means
