Within the ABE Division<\/h5>\nWithin the ABE division or department in the institution, there should be a plan for general information sessions, including:\n<ul>\n \t<li>regular subject area meetings, particularly after representatives return from Working Committee meetings;<\/li>\n \t<li>prompt and efficient distribution of reports from the Working Committee and Steering Committee minutes and reports;<\/li>\n \t<li>change of terminology on certificates, transcripts, calendars, application forms, and other documents;<\/li>\n \t<li>development of a new ABE brochure to use in orientation meetings internally and externally;<\/li>\n \t<li>submission of course, program, or procedural changes to the respective college committees, i.e. Program Advisory Committee, Standards and Admissions Committee, etc.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>2. Regarding Students<\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Provide orientation for:\n<ul>\n \t<li>ABE students already enrolled in ABE;<\/li>\n \t<li>potential ABE students currently enrolled in other programs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5 style=\"text-align: left\">3. Within the Rest of the Institution<\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Provide information on an on-going basis to:\n<ul>\n \t<li>Coordinators or heads of other departments;<\/li>\n \t<li>Dean or Vice-president of Instruction;<\/li>\n \t<li>Counsellors\/Advisors;<\/li>\n \t<li>Registrar\/Admissions;<\/li>\n \t<li>Financial Aid Officer.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>4. Planning and Tracking for the BCAGD<\/h5>\n<ul>\n \t<li>Appropriate departments of the institution should plan to:\n<ul>\n \t<li>identify a list of required and elective courses at this level;<\/li>\n \t<li>establish a procedure for dealing with electives;<\/li>\n \t<li>ensure that students are well-advised or counseled in their course selection;<\/li>\n \t<li>establish a procedure for applying for the Diploma (an application form, college transfer credit policy, application of 100 or higher level courses);<\/li>\n \t<li>approve student applications (coordinator, committee, registrar);<\/li>\n \t<li>establish a procedure for tracking diploma recipients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h5>5.
