This will disrupt reading order. To avoid this, open the\u00a0<strong>Tags\u00a0<\/strong>pane, highlight text individually, open the menu in the Tags pane and choose\u00a0<strong>Create Tag from Selection...\u00a0<\/strong>and choose\u00a0<strong>Paragraph.\u00a0<\/strong>This is a simple way to split text and place your form fields in between.\r\n<h2><a id=\"a11ycheck\"><\/a>Initial Accessibility Checks<\/h2>\r\nTo assess the accessibility and usability of your form, check:\r\n<h3>Manually<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Use the <strong>Tab<\/strong> key to move around the form.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Radio buttons should be grouped, meaning you can Tab to the first radio button and then use the arrow keys to navigate around that group.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Checkboxes cannot be grouped but should have a consistent tooltip (tooltips provide directions for the required input of the field to assistive technology) to give indication of their grouping.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Text fields should be in the same order they visually appear.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Tooltips<\/h3>\r\n<div id=\"h5p-panel-content-0-1\" class=\"h5p-panel-content h5p-advanced-text\" role=\"region\" aria-labelledby=\"h5p-panel-link-0-1\" aria-hidden=\"false\">\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Navigate to\u00a0<strong>Tools\u00a0<\/strong>(On main tab bar, via\u00a0<strong>View<\/strong>\u00a0&gt;\u00a0<strong>Show\/Hide\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>Tools Pane<\/strong>\u00a0and then select\u00a0<strong>More Tools\u00a0<\/strong>at the bottom of the Tools Pane)\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Accessibility.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Identify Form Fields<\/strong>\u00a0OR Navigate to\u00a0<strong>Tools\u00a0<\/strong>and select\u00a0<strong>Prepare Form.<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>An overlay of the tooltip associated with each field appears.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Additionally, the <strong>FIELDS<\/strong> pane lists all fillable fields.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Use the\u00a0<strong>FIELDS<\/strong> pane to reorganize the Tab order of the form.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Text Fields<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Right click or double click on a fillable field.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Properties\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>General.<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Each field must have a descriptive\u00a0<strong>Name.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>A useful <strong>Tooltip<\/strong> field includes the title and short instructions to complete the field.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li><strong>Tooltip\u00a0<\/strong>is what is read out loud by a screen reader so it is very important.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Repeat for each fillable field.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Radio Buttons<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Click and drag over all radio buttons in a group to highlight them.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Properties\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>General.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enter a name for the buttons in the\u00a0<strong>Group Name<\/strong> field.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Select each radio button individually.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Properties\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>Options.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enter a description in the\u00a0<strong>Radio Button Choice\u00a0<\/strong>field.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Check Boxes<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Select each check box individually.<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Properties\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>General.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enter the\u00a0<strong>Name<\/strong> field with the question.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Enter a short description followed by the text of the textbox as it appears on the document in the\u00a0<strong>Tooltip<\/strong> field.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Because Check boxes cannot be grouped like radio buttons, try to be consistent with your ToolTips such as \"favourite food: cookies\", \"favourite food: fish\", \"favourite food: pizza\", etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Tab Order<\/h3>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Open\u00a0<strong>Prepare Form<\/strong> tool.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Click dropdown menu beside\u00a0<strong>FIELDS\u00a0<\/strong>list.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Show Tab Number.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Rearrange tab order by clicking and dragging to correct order.\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>This does not move the items on the document, only ensures screen readers will read the fields in the order you intended.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h3>Nesting<\/h3>\r\n&lt;Form&gt; tags should be nested within the text tag that the form field is associated with.\r\n\r\nNavigate to the\u00a0<strong>Tags\u00a0<\/strong>pane and cut and paste or click and drag appropriate form fields to ensure proper nesting.\r\n<h3>Missing Form Field<\/h3>\r\n<\/div>\r\nYou can add a single form field if you discover one missing during your checks:\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Navigate to\u00a0<strong>Order.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Open the\u00a0<strong>Reading Order Panel.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Click and drag to highlight over the desire form field area and select\u00a0<strong>Form Field.<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nNote, you will still need to ensure the reading order, tags, and tooltip for the field.\r\n<h2><a id=\"automated\"><\/a>Automated Accessibility Check<\/h2>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Select <strong>Tools<\/strong>\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li><strong>Accessibility <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Accessibility Check <\/strong>or <strong>Full Check<\/strong><\/li>\r\n \t<li>Right click on various errors for explanation and tips for fixing the error.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Read Out Loud will give an idea of how a screen reader or text-to-speech software will read your document\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Select <strong>View <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Read Out Loud <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Activate Read Out Loud<\/strong><\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\nA PDF with form fields will not reflow (by design), so do not use the\u00a0<strong>Zoom &gt; tags should be nested within the text tag that the form field is associated with.<\/p>\n<p>Navigate to the\u00a0<strong>Tags\u00a0<\/strong>pane and cut and paste or click and drag appropriate form fields to ensure proper nesting.<\/p>\n<h3>Missing Form Field<\/h3>\n<\/div>\n<p>You can add a single form field if you discover one missing during your checks:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Navigate to\u00a0<strong>Order.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Open the\u00a0<strong>Reading Order Panel.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click and drag to highlight over the desire form field area and select\u00a0<strong>Form Field.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Note, you will still need to ensure the reading order, tags, and tooltip for the field.<\/p>\n<h2><a id=\"automated\"><\/a>Automated Accessibility Check<\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>Tools<\/strong>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Accessibility <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Accessibility Check <\/strong>or <strong>Full Check<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Right click on various errors for explanation and tips for fixing the error.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Read Out Loud will give an idea of how a screen reader or text-to-speech software will read your document\n<ol>\n<li>Select <strong>View <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Read Out Loud <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Activate Read Out Loud<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>A PDF with form fields will not reflow (by design), so do not use the\u00a0<strong>Zoom &gt;
