As the number and variety of academic accommodations increases instructors are faced with a gulf in understanding the nature and necessity of academic accommodations. This guide is designed to proactively address common questions and concerns about academic accommodations.
This collection is not designed to be a policy document. These fact sheets are intended to be plain language introductions for instructors and staff to better understand who accommodations are for. No terminology, recommendation, or language in this guide supersedes an institution’s policy or a jurisdiction’s legal requirements.
