    WORK ALONG: Configuring your Inventor Software for the Inventor book<\/h1>\r\nComplete all of the following steps:\r\n

    Step 1<\/h2>\r\nStart Inventor. Your screen should appear similar to the figure. Your colors may not be the same, but the basic configuration should be. If any additional dialogue boxes or windows open, close them.     AUTHOR'S COMMENTS:<\/strong> Inventor 2020 and 2021: Your screen might differ slightly from the one shown in the figure; colors in particular. Inventor 2019 and earlier: The basic header area will be quite similar, but the main screen area will be empty. Similarly, there may be slight differences in the colors and appearance of interface elements throughout this book.<\/div>\r\n

    Step 2<\/h2>\r\nClick the arrow icon at the end of the Ribbon menu (beside the Help ? icon). Set the pull- down menu by enabling or disabling features to match the figure.     Step 5<\/h2>\r\nClick Tools <\/em>on the menu at the top of the window. Click the Application Options icon as shown in Figure Step 5.     Step 6<\/h2>\r\nClick on the General tab. Compare the settings of your inventor with the figure. If the settings do not match, change yours to match.     Step 14<\/h2>\r\nClick the Inventor icon located in the top left corner and then Close to exit Inventor, OR <\/strong><\/span>click the File tab and then exit Inventor by clicking the Exit Autodesk Inventor Professional button in the bottom right corner.
