For example, if the research question was \u201cHow can KPU better support international students?\u201d a sub-question might be \u201cWhat does KPU currently do for international students?\u201d or \u201cWhat challenges do international students at KPU currently face?\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Challenge the class to come up with 50 original questions.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>After students have come up with their questions, go through the questions and identify any that are not neutrally phrased. For example, a question like \u201cAre KPU students angry about textbook costs?\u201d isn\u2019t neutrally phrased, so you would change it to \u201cHow do KPU students feel about textbook costs?\u201d<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Next, ask students to again work alone, in pairs, or in groups to identify whether the questions can be answered by primary sources or secondary sources.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>If the question can be answered by primary sources, turn it pink.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>If it can be answered by secondary sources, turn it blue.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>If it can be answered by both (or the student isn\u2019t sure) keep it black.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>From here, you can help students to create a source plan for their research either alone or in groups.<\/li>\r\n<\/ol>\r\n<h1>Debrief questions \/ activities<\/h1>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Which of these questions will be the hardest to answer?
