Adaptation Statement

Business Essentials is adapted from two textbooks produced and distributed under a Creative Commons License. The first text is Organizational Behaviour- 1st Canadian Edition a work produced and distributed under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-NC-SA) in 2010 by a publisher who has requested that they and the original author not receive attribution and later adapted by Christine Pitt and Venecia Williams from Vancouver Community College.

The second text is Principles of Management, an OpenStax textbook that is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY) license. It was written in 2019 by David S. Bright, Anastasia H. Cortes and Eva Hartmann.

This adaptation combines parts of both textbooks into a textbook that is suitable for a Business Essentials course. This textbook covers both Management and Organizational Behavioural foundational concepts. Otherwise the content has not been significantly altered. This work is made available under the terms of a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike license.
