As far as tourism is concerned, every attraction has something that makes it special. This could be a:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>natural feature (e.g., the Rocky mountains),<\/li>\r\n \t<li>historical event (e.g., the Plains of Abraham),<\/li>\r\n \t<li>cultural importance (e.g., Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump), or<\/li>\r\n \t<li>man-made creation (e.g., Canada\u2019s Wonderland).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Patterns and trends<\/strong> are all about how you:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>identify characteristics that are similar and repeated within and between places or regions (What is Where?).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>determine if these characteristics repeat over time (What is Where?).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>analyse why characteristics are similar and\/or repetitive (Why There?).<\/li>\r\n \t<li>determine the importance of why the characteristics are similar and\/or repetitive (Why Care?).<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nIn more simple terms, patterns and trends are about what changes and what stays the same.
