It draws on current classroom practices, pedagogy, and curriculum, but is designed for flexible implementation by teachers in a variety of classrooms.\r\n\r\nThe <a href=\"https:\/\/holocaustgraphicnovels.org\/\">Narrative Art &amp; Visual Storytelling in Holocaust and Human Rights Education<\/a> project brings together researchers, visual artists, Holocaust survivors, librarians, and students in order to create educational resources. Artists work directly with survivors to co-create graphic narratives based on their personal experiences before, during, and after the Holocaust with the help of historians and students. We are grateful the <a href=\"https:\/\/teach.educ.ubc.ca\/\">University of British Columbia Teacher Education Program<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/teach.educ.ubc.ca\/bachelor-of-education-program\/community-field-experience\/\">Community Field Experience<\/a> which connects teachers to \"expand their concept of potential learning sites and how they might get involved, either as a career option or as a classroom teacher with an understanding of educational community connections.\"\r\n<div class=\"textbox\">\r\n\r\nOur primary goals are to:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Provide open educational materials online and in print through graphic narratives;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Develop pedagogical tools for educators around the world teaching the Holocaust;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Encourage further research by creating audio-visual interviews to enrich the archival collections of partner institutions.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/div>\r\nWhile the resources may be useful to educators on their own, they are meant to accompany <a href=\"https:\/\/utorontopress.com\/9781487526849\/but-i-live\/\">But I Live: Three Stories of Child Survivors of the Holocaust<\/a>, by (artists) Miriam Libicki, Gilad Seliktar and Barbara Yelin (edited by Charlotte Schalli\u00e9) from the University of Toronto Press.\r\n\r\nOur international collaboration was made possible by a three-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sshrc-crsh.gc.ca\/home-accueil-eng.aspx\">Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council<\/a> Partnership Development Grant and is based at the University of Victoria in British Columbia.","rendered":"<p>This educators&#8217; resource was written by educators for educators.
