NOTE ON CONJUGAISON: the stem changes to doi in the boot form.
NOTE ON USAGE: to convey the notion of an obligation or something necessary, use devoir along with a verb in the infinitive.
Exemple: Vous devez souvent pratiquer le français pour apprendre à le parler!
Another way to do this is with the impersonal expression il faut (it is necessary). More on this in section 6 of the Pressbook.
