These parts include Wood and Engineered Wood, Metal, Plastics, and Concrete.\r\n\r\nBefore we begin, it is necessary to connect <em><strong>Life Cycle Thinking<\/strong><\/em> with the words of the Executive Director of Indigenous Climate Action Eriel Tchekwie Deranger who states:\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<h2><strong>\u201cWe are fundamental parts of ecosystems, and we need to reclaim that- not just as Indigenous people but as humanity.\u201d<\/strong> (Tchekwie Deranger, 2018)<\/h2>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n<div class=\"textbox textbox--exercises\"><header class=\"textbox__header\">\r\n<blockquote>\r\n<h2 class=\"textbox__title\" style=\"text-align: center\"><strong>ACTVITY<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<span style=\"color: #ffffff\">Watching this speech before beginning the parts in this chapter will help us to contextualize how the choices we make affect our entire ecosystem.
