Definition of Interpersonal Conflict

Interpersonal conflict can be defined as:

Differences between at least two interdependent parties who perceive or are experiencing:

  • Incompatible goals or needs.
  • Thinking differently about processes or routes to a goal.
  • Interference in meeting their goals or needs.
