Foreward

This is my first foray into adapting an Open Education Resource. The original text underlying this adapted version aligned with many of my own perspectives on research and graduate education but was focused on social work education. While our fields are closely related, I wanted to use the solid foundation provided by the original authors to create a tailored to students in education generally and educational leadership at SFU specifically. It is my hope that other faculty at SFU will find this adaption useful and continue to hone the text to better meet student needs. A sincere thank you to the textbooks original authors, Matthew DeCarlo, Cory Cummings, and Kate Agnelli.
