Engineers and Geoscientists BC regulates and governs these professions under the authority of the <em>Professional Governance Act<\/em>.\r\n\r\nWe are charged with protecting the public interest by setting and maintaining high academic, experience, and professional practice standards for over 40,000 registrants. Only individuals and firms licensed by Engineers and Geoscientists BC are permitted by law to undertake and assume responsibility for engineering and geoscience projects in BC.\r\n\r\nWe are a not-for-profit organization governed by a council of elected registrants\u00a0and government appointees. Council is accountable to the public through the Ministry of the Attorney General, under the Office of the Superintendent of Professional Governance, for both the governance and management of the organization.\r\n<h2 class=\"subheader\">Our Vision<\/h2>\r\nEngineering and geoscience professionals creating a better future for all.\r\n<h2 class=\"subheader\">Our Mission<\/h2>\r\nTo serve the public interest as a progressive regulator that supports and promotes the engineering and geoscience professions.\r\n<h2 class=\"subheader\">Our Values<\/h2>\r\nIn our governance, administration, and delivery of service, we are guided by the following values:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><strong>Integrity:<\/strong> We mean and do what we say,<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Accountability:<\/strong> We are responsible for our actions, and<\/li>\r\n \t<li><strong>Innovation:<\/strong> We will explore new ideas to make things better.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h1>The Brand<\/h1>\r\nThe Engineers and Geoscientists BC brand was developed and delivered under the 2014 - 2017 Strategic Plan. Under the direction of Council, the brand was defined and brought to life, capturing the essence of the association and its members.
