As Brent Mekelburg described in one of the course videos, as an institution, we are committed to student-centred learning, with \u201cthe learner themselves determining how, when, and where [to] access the experience of growth, or the education.\u201d\r\n\r\nAccording to <a href=\"https:\/\/xqsuperschool.org\/rethinktogether\/what-is-student-centered-learning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Anna Sudderth<\/a>, student-centred learning \u201cmakes students co-creators of their own education\u201d and, in doing so, prepares them for our changing world, giving them the \u201cself-direction, curiosity, creativity, and collaboration\u201d skills they will need no matter where their life path may lead.\r\n\r\nSudderth goes on to say that successful student-centred-learning programs usually share some common features:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Project-based and interdisciplinary learning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Strong connections between curriculum and student interests<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Assessment as a tool to measure learning and support student growth<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Meaningful feedback platforms<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Learning plans tailored to individual students<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Flexibility and adaptability, including online options<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\nWe have shared with each other several resources that include student-centred activities.
