This video will guide you in understanding the most foundational aspect of food security - what is food? Throughout this course, we will be thinking about some of the things the speaker discusses in the video: climate change, chemical agriculture, cultural preferences, food insecurity, and whether Indigenous food security is considered in industrial food production.\r\n\r\nNote that in the video, the speakers discuss \"safe food\". Do not confuse this with \u201cFood Security\u201d\r\n\r\nFollowing this video, I provide a number of extra videos and readings for your own interest. These are not required readings for the course however, they do provide more knowledge in this area.\r\n\r\nAs you watch the video, keep in mind your grocery list and some of the questions I ask you to answer for each item you choose in your list.
