There are two major exceptions to this rule:<\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n    <li class=\"lt-human-109203\">Do not add an <strong>-s<\/strong> to the masculine form of adjectives ending in<strong> -s<\/strong> or <strong>-x<\/strong>. The masculine singular and plural forms are thus identical: un animal <strong>heureux<\/strong> (a happy animal), des animaux <strong>heureux<\/strong> (happy animals). However, the feminine plural form of these adjectives is regular; it is formed by simply adding an <strong>-s<\/strong> to the feminine singular form: une fille <strong>heureuse<\/strong> (a happy girl), des filles <strong>heureuses<\/strong> (happy girls).<\/li>\r\n    <li class=\"lt-human-109203\">Adjectives ending in <strong>-al<\/strong> in the masculine singular form change to <strong>-aux<\/strong><b> <\/b>in the masculine plural form<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109203\">The feminine plural form of these adjectives is regular; it is formed by simply adding an <strong>-s<\/strong> to the feminine singular form: Fred aime lire la presse <strong>internationale<\/strong>.
