There is nothing like a good adverb to modify the adjectives we use to describe people and things. You can express different degrees of intensity by using \"adverbs of degree\", or adverbes d'intensit\u00e9<\/strong>. For example, instead of just saying Il est grand<\/strong> (He is tall), I can say:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Il est tr\u00e8s <\/strong>grand. (He is very tall.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Il est tellement<\/strong> grand ! <\/strong>(He is so tall!)<\/p>\r\n\r\n

Il est vraiment <\/strong>grand. (He is really tall.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n

These adverbs can be used for just about anything we describe:<\/p>\r\n\r\n

L'examen est extr\u00eamement <\/strong>difficile. (The exam is extremely difficult.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n

La classe de fran\u00e7ais est assez <\/strong>facile. (French class is prett,quite easy.)<\/p>\r\n\r\n
