(What is the date ?)<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-109213\">\u2014 C'est le 14 septembre. (It's September 14th.)<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109213\">For the first day of every month, we use the ordinal number <strong>premier<\/strong> (first) instead of <strong>un<\/strong> (one):<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-109213\">C'est le premier novembre. (It's the first of November. It's November first.)<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109213\">For every other day after the first, you simply use the number: <strong>le deux novembre, le trois novembre, etc<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109213\">If you want to include the year in the date, simply add the year afterward:<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-109213\">C'est le 26 mars 2022<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109213\">(c) To say what date a certain event (holiday, birthday, meeting, etc.) is \"on\", you use the same formula as above. You keep the \"le\" to express \"on\":<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-109213\">No\u00ebl est <strong>le <\/strong>25 d\u00e9cembre. (Christmas is on December 25th)<\/p>\r\n<p class=\"lt-human-109213\">(d) When the date is written out in numbers it follows the same order as the formula above: <strong>day\/month\/year<\/strong> (or DD\/MM\/Year), not month\/day\/year (MM\/DD\/Year) as we do in English.
