(I never believed it.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"lt-human-120708\">(a) <strong>Croire \u00e0<\/strong> is means to believe in, when you are talking about whether you believe something is real, true or not:<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Il <strong>ne croit pas aux<\/strong> f\u00e9es. (He doesn\u2019t believe in fairies.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Elles <strong>croient au<\/strong> p\u00e8re No\u00ebl. (They believe in Santa Claus.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Je <strong>crois aux<\/strong> bonnes mani\u00e8res. (I believe in good manners.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"lt-human-120708\">One exception to this is <strong>croire en Dieu<\/strong> God).<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"lt-human-120708\">(b) To say that you believe in someone, as in to trust or have confidence in someone, you say <strong>croire en<\/strong> or <strong>avoir confiance en quelqu\u2019un<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Je <strong>crois en<\/strong> mon fr\u00e8re.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">J\u2019ai <strong>confiance en mes<\/strong> amis.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"lt-human-120708\">(c) <strong>Croire que<\/strong> means to believe that and <strong>voir que<\/strong> means to see that.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Je <strong>crois <\/strong><strong>qu\u2019<\/strong>elle a tort. (I beleive that she is wrong.)<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Nous <strong>croyons que<\/strong> ces questions sont importantes. (I think so. (He doesn\u2019t believe in fairies.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Elles <strong>croient au<\/strong> p\u00e8re No\u00ebl. (They believe in Santa Claus.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"mt-indent-1 lt-human-120708\">Je <strong>crois aux<\/strong> bonnes mani\u00e8res.
