There are two main ways to say \"to drink\" in French: prendre <\/strong>and boire<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n

Prendre<\/strong><\/a> is a a little more general than boire<\/strong> because it can translate \"to have\", \"to take\", and \"to drink\", as in: Je prends du caf\u00e9<\/strong>. You can also use it for transportation (Je prends le bus<\/strong>) or buying things you don\u2019t drink (Je vais prendre 3 baguettes<\/strong>).<\/p>\r\n

To refer more precisely to the idea of swallowing a liquid, we can use the verb boire<\/strong> (to drink):<\/p>\r\n
