Activity 1

Make a real time earthquake map. The United States Geological Society (USGS) has made its real-time earthquake information available via an API (see research methods section) thus making it easy to integrate this information with an online map. Here are directions on how to make your own earthquake map using Google Maps API. There are several other tutorials available online. Find one that matches your technological skill level.
