Subject-verb Agreement
In this section of the book we’ll focus on a complex concept: subject-verb agreement. Making sure subjects and verbs “agree” with one another (in other words, that they are both singular or both plural) will help readers understand your work; it makes sentences, particularly long and detailed ones, easier to read.
Though the topic is complex, don’t fret — you’re probably already pretty good at subject-verb agreement. There are some situations, though, where knowing the rules and being mindful of them will help address some bad writing habits you may have developed.
