This discussion guide was created to accompany the book A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliott (2019). Alicia Elliott, a Tuscarora writer from Six Nations of the Grand River, offers compelling narratives that prompt the reader to ponder, examine, discuss, and address the many challenges facing Indigenous peoples today.

The book was a selection of the Centre for Teaching Excellence Spring book club in 2020. The faculty member of the book club offer this resources to encourage you to create opportunities in your courses for important conversations around the many themes that this book presents.
