Teaching, Indigenous and Western Ways of Knowing, and Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing)

The following set of questions relate to how you, as a member of the STEM community, can get started with your own education and engagement in respectful and meaningful ways. It reviews the differences and connections between Western science and Indigenous ways of knowing and highlights how Etuaptmumk (Two-Eyed Seeing) can be a useful framework for STEM faculty, staff, and students to explore ways of knowing, being, and decision-making.
