About the Authors
Reza Vahidnia is a faculty member at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT) in Vancouver, Canada. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Ontario Tech University in Oshawa, Canada, in 2014. Reza has gained valuable experience in the field, having worked as a senior IoT analyst at Rogers Communications Inc. IoT project manager at TELUS, and IoT solutions architect at Kore Wireless where he contributed to various smart city and IoT initiatives. He is a licensed professional engineer (P.Eng.) and an active member of the Association of Engineers and Geoscientists of British Columbia (APEGBC).
Mohammad H. Ghaeminia received his B.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Isfahan in Isfahan, Iran, in 2007. He further pursued his academic journey and obtained his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Iran University of Science and Technology (IUST) in Tehran, Iran, in 2010 and 2019, respectively. Throughout his academic career, his research interests have primarily focused on IoT platforms, data analytics, and pattern recognition for IoT applications.
Mohsen Bayat is an IoT platform specialist with extensive experience in the field. He earned his B.Sc. degree in electrical power engineering from Mazandaran University of Science and Technology (MUST) in Mazandaran, Iran. With over seven years of relevant work experience, Mohsen has focused on smart buildings and IoT engineering, gaining valuable expertise in the field.
