each case study are a case and application.\r\n\r\n&nbsp;\r\n<h2><strong>Purpose of the textbook<\/strong><\/h2>\r\nThe purpose of this textbook is to provide a resource that supports teaching and learning about land use planning in British Columbia.\u00a0 Its unique strengths are:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>The entire text is grounded in real examples of land use planning;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The set of six case studies cover a wide range of land use planning contexts:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Urban planning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Rural planning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Natural resource planning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>First Nations Reserve planning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Agricultural land use planning<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Protected areas planning<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>All case study materials are set within British Columbia and its land use planning laws and regulations; and,<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Learners must consider contemporary social, political, economic, and environmental issues;<\/li>\r\n \t<li>All materials
