This is called the rate of the increase or decrease.\r\n\r\nProblems which ask you to find the percent of increase or decrease often involve two steps:\r\n<ol>\r\n \t<li>Find the amount of change (either increase or decrease) by finding the difference between the two amounts given. Subtract to find the difference.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Find the percentage of increase\/decrease.
