Participants will have an opportunity to assess a client, identify priority problems, and formulate and implement a nursing plan. The scenario provides advanced-level BSN students with an experience working with a client in an acute surgical care setting.\r\n\r\n<strong>Concepts<\/strong>\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Assessment<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Cognition<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Communication<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Decision Making<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Pain<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Perfusion<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Professionalism<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Safety<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<strong>Context:<\/strong> Acute surgical unit of a hospital.\r\n\r\n<strong>Level of Participant:<\/strong> Intermediate or Advanced (Year 3 or 4)\r\n\r\n<strong>Completion Time: <\/strong>Varied up to 4 hours.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Pre-Learning:<\/span> Varied depending on the knowledge students have prior to engaging in the scenario.
