Guaifenesin is only recommended for use during pregnancy and breastfeeding when the benefit outweighs the risk.\r\n\r\n<strong>Adverse\/Side Effects <\/strong>\r\n\r\nGuaifenesin may cause a skin rash, headache, nausea, and vomiting.<sup>[footnote]Frandsen, G. &amp; Pennington, S.
