This resource was adapted from the BCcampus Open Education <em><a href=\"https:\/\/opentextbc.ca\/oerdiscipline\/\">OER by Discipline Directory<\/a>.\u00a0<\/em>This support guide lists a broad range of open educational resources (OER) organized by discipline. OER are teaching, learning, and research resources that, through permissions granted by the copyright holder, allow others to use, distribute, keep, or make changes to them. This directory was developed to highlight as many OER as possible \u2014 case studies, courses, games, repositories, simulations, textbooks, videos, and more \u2014 and organize them so faculty can easily locate resources in their subject area.\r\n<h1>Land Acknowledgement<\/h1>\r\nWe acknowledge and respect the L\u0259k\u0313\u02b7\u0259\u014b\u0259n (Songhees and Esquimalt) Peoples on whose territory the University of Victoria stands, and the L\u0259k\u0313\u02b7\u0259\u014b\u0259n and W\u0331S\u00c1NE\u0106 Peoples whose historical relationships with the land continue to this day.\r\n<h1>How the Guide Works<\/h1>\r\nOER in this guide are organized by discipline, where each discipline has its own chapter. Some of these chapters were created in the adaptation process, and others came directly from the original BCcampus Open Education resource. These chapters have all been placed within parts, which correspond to faculties at the University of Victoria.\r\n\r\nSometimes a resource is multidisciplinary and hard to categorize, sometimes a resource could be used in different ways in different classes, and sometimes we don\u2019t always know whether a resource is meant for people studying to be electricians or electrical engineers.
