\r\n\r\nHerpes viruses are double-stranded DNA viruses that replicate in the cell nucleus. They often have the ability to cause latent infections which can appear at a later point in the patient\u2019s life. The majority of patients with latent infections are asymptomatic. The important herpes viruses include HSV 1 and HSV 2, HHV 6 and 7, Varicella-Zoster virus, Cytomegalovirus, and Epstein Barr virus.\r\n\r\n<\/div>\r\n
