Competency B1: Install Water Services
It is important that plumbers have a basic understanding of the water supply system from the source to the tap. Although plumbers may not be involved in the design of municipal water supply systems, they can be involved in the installation and maintenance. Competency B-1 will cover the municipal water supply system.

- describe and identify parts of a municipal water supply system, and
- describe the installation of pipes and components used in a municipal water supply system
