For two of the case studies, Sam is also a co-author with one or more former students.\r\n\r\nSam is a faculty member in the Communications Department at Douglas College. This is his fourth OER textbook in the field of applied communications. His first OER textbook, <a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.bccampus.ca\/communicating\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Professional Writing in the Digital Age<\/em><\/a>, provides guidance for undergraduate students and entry-level employees looking to improve their professional writing skills. His second OER textbook,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.bccampus.ca\/speaking\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Public Speaking for Today\u2019s Audiences<\/em><\/a>, helps students to improve their public speaking skills. His third OER textbook, <a href=\"https:\/\/pressbooks.bccampus.ca\/publicrelations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><em>Public Relations: From Strategy to Action<\/em><\/a>,<em>\u00a0<\/em>is complementary to this book of case studies and provides learning support to upper-level undergraduate students studying the field of public relations.
