In this Log your focus will be on culturally relevant experiences and providing <strong>scholarly psychological analysis<\/strong>.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>The log entries must be a brief description followed by a critical examination using psychological terms and psychological explanations. .<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Each Log entry should include:\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>a brief description and scholarly reflections integrating <strong>psychological terms and concepts<\/strong>;\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>e.g., \u201c<em>acculturation<\/em>\u201d, \u201c<em>linguistic relativity<\/em>\u201d \u201c<em>ingroups-Outgroups<\/em>\u201d, \u201c<em>cognitive biases<\/em>\u201d etc.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n \t<li>You should also cite <strong>scholarly research<\/strong> wherever applicable.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>You are encouraged to insert pictures, photographs, brochures etc. in your log.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n<h2><strong>Four categories for Log entries<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n<h3>\r\nCategory I:\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0Intercultural Observations\/Experiences in Daily Life \u00a0(Minimum 2)<\/h3>\r\nThese may be from your past experiences or current on-line interactions.\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>This would include your own <strong>unintended interactions<\/strong> with someone from a different culture\r\nAND\/OR witnessing an interaction between individuals of different cultures.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Examples of Unintended Interactions: Riding a bus, shopping, bank teller, work meeting, family visits, email\/phone exchange, personal social media post etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Write a brief paragraph (about 250 words) on each of your (2 or more) log entries of intercultural experiences and scholarly reflections\r\n<ul>\r\n \t<li>Include a brief description of the context; where, how etc.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>Was there any misunderstanding due to cultural differences? For example, if you were born and raised within a Protestant faith, do not choose Catholic or Lutheren or Unitarian- as these are just different branches of the same faith- Christianity.<\/li>\r\n \t<li>If you grew up without any religious faith, choose the one that is very different from the faith practiced by those around you- your family, relatives.
