Using\/Grading Forums<\/h2>\n

How to grade using whole forum grading<\/h2>\n

  1. Go into your course and for your forum, ensure whole forum grading<\/a> is set up in the forum settings.<\/li>\n \t
  2. Open the forum.<\/li>\n \t
  3. Click on the Grade Users <\/strong>button.<\/li>\n \t
  4. \"\"On the left you should now see one students entire collection of forum postings (as well as responses) and on the right the students name and where to enter a grade. Enter the Grade<\/strong> on the right, and click the Next arrow <\/strong>(the black arrow pointing to the right) to view another students submission and mark.<\/li>\n \t
  5. \"\"Once you have graded all students or you are finished select the Save<\/strong> button at the top.\"\"<\/li>\n \t
  6. Click Close<\/strong> and now these grades will automatically input into the gradebook for your class.\n\"\"<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Posting to a group forum<\/strong><\/h2>\nIf you would like to post content to a group forum there are a few extra steps you have to take to ensure this works properly, you cannot post the way you would for all students\/participants to see.\n\nIf you would like to post a topic or question to all groups\n

    1. Ensure this is a group forum by going to the forums settings and looking under the Common module setting<\/strong> to ensure the group mode<\/strong> is set to separate groups<\/strong> or visible groups. <\/strong><\/li>\n \t
    2. Click Add a new discussion topic<\/strong><\/li>\n \t
