How to Find a Job in Canada
The number long term international students almost double in 2016 compared to the number 2008. Meanwhile, get a job while studying in school can be a valuable experience. Also, it can prepare international students in the future work environment. Therefore, we are going to discuss some work-related topics for international students.
Work Permit
- 1) Current study permit holder
The international students who study full time in Designated Learning Institution(DLI) eligible to work up to 20 hours per week while studying, and work 40 hours per week during summer and winter break. 2)Post-Graduation Work Permit

3) Spouse Open Work Permit

Volunteer Experience
Did you know the volunteer experience not only can help you learn and practice your English skills, also it considers assets when you looking for jobs. Resume and Cover Letter
Most jobs in Canada required the applicant’s resume and cover letter. In addition, the resume is the written summary of your working and education experience. In the other hand, the cover letter helps your future employer understand some of your personalities, hobbies and why you suit for this job.

Nowadays, most jobs are posting online. It helps pass the information quickly, but it also may pose some risk especially for new international students. We recommend people use the reputable websites to look for jobs. Here are some job sites:

In conclusion, we don’t recommend students find jobs in website such as Kijiji and Craigslist, because the website may contain some misleading information or scam. If you choose to use these websites, please be careful; don’t give away money and your personal information easily.
