For example, leather boots are required in the welding shop, where there are specific hazards from sparks and molten slag. Leather is not impervious to all chemicals, and therefore is not a good choice when walking in wet concrete as it is being poured. In that case, rubber boots with steel toe and sole protectors would be better. Footwear should be inspected regularly and replaced if worn out.\r\n<h2>CSA standards<\/h2>\r\nDue to the dangers listed above, you must wear safety footwear that is CSA approved.
