How do you push the conversation forward?<\/p>\n<p>There are many different ways to write a conclusion. Here\u2019s a template you might want to consider that will help you leave the reader with new insight.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Instead of summarizing your argument, summarize how your paper has joined, contributed and modified the larger conversation or the research you\u2019ve read.<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">Identify future directions for work on this topic (ideas for research that could help fill knowledge gaps, suggestions for practical applications of your findings, any questions you still have).<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\">The last sentence: restate your paper\u2019s &#8220;so what&#8221;? This is the mic dropper! Why does your research matter?
