This text was written to be a basic introduction to the field of lighting and lighting installations. While it is by no means exhaustive of the subject matter, hopefully the reader has gained some insight into the practice and theory behind standard incandescent and LED lighting practices, including common switching circuits and techniques.
As a general rule, LED’s are rapidly replacing older style incandescent lamps for many installations. The future of lighting will undoubtedly be lit by LED’s.
