1.1 Introduction
This unit concerns the client’s immediate environment. The environment can have a positive or negative impact on a client’s health and well-being. We can adapt the environment to promote health. Keeping the client’s unit or room clean and in order enhances the person’s well-being. These housekeeping practices also protect one from harmful micro-organisms and other hazards. Other considerations for how the client’s environment impacts their health will be further discussed in this unit.
