10 Navigating Policies and Requirements

Previous Lesson

Lesson 10 of 18

Institutions, publishers, and associations at various levels can formally recognize the importance of good research data management and data sharing through the provision of guidance and adoption of appropriate policies.

This means that researchers need to be aware of recommendations and requirements from multiple sources that could apply to their projects.

These requirements may arise from their home institutions and research ethics boards, from the journal they wish to publish in, from their research funder(s), or from other stakeholders.
