Student Research Project Presentation

Student Research project presentation

Due at the end of the semester and worth 5% of your overall grade.

You will present your engineering analysis of a local structure.

A standard poster is the size of 6, 8.5 x 11 inch papers.  You can make your poster up from six pages and display them as one, or make it as one piece of paper.  Think of this as six PowerPoint or Prezi slides.

You can make this as a short video as long as you also share the image as PDF or .jpg.

This is a way to organize your presentation.

Page #1 = title of your poster = what structure did you study

Page #2 = your name and contact information and copyright information. Remember that the license is CC0. The image and work must be all your own and open source.

Page #3 = an original picture of your structure. It should fill up most of the page and be clear. *

Pages #4 = Free body diagram, clearly labelled. Do not draw on your original photo.

Pages #5 and #6 = Your analysis, with the solution.  This is just like the “make your own textbook problem assignment”.

*If you have trouble taking a picture, ask for help from the other students or contact me.  The library also has cameras that you can borrow.
