First, allow me to acknowledge the Centre for Teaching Excellency for their invaluable assistance in creating this material.
I started this project in the Spring of 2024 with the hope of removing cost barriers for CapU students. Illustrations were drawn by Phoebe Verdon, a CapU IDEA graduate.
In all cases, the content has been highly modified and reorganized. All errors or omissions are mine alone.
Each section (week) consists of
- OBJECTIFS D’APPRENTISSAGE: learning objectives (to direct your efforts)
- VOCABULAIRE: vocabulary lists (to listen/review before, during and following class)
- ILLUSTRATIONS: images (to contextualize vocabulary)
- GRAMMAIRE: grammar explanations in non-technical language (to be studied in preparation for class)
- ACTIVITÉS: activities (to be completed in class)
Notes culturelles (cultural notes, to read and appreciate) and textes à lire (short French texts to read) are also available for many sections/weeks.
Do alert me if you see something missing/not making sense as this is a work in project and will benefit the CapU community. Merci!
