Part 1 – Introduction to Ethical Decision-Making, Social Responsibility, Sustainability, Inclusivity, and Decolonization in Management
Part 1 of this book builds the foundation for the subsequent Parts of the book. Before going into the remaining Parts of the book, the reader can use Part 1 to refresh their understanding of key terms, concepts, and frameworks, namely:
- Doing a brief review in Chapter 1 of how people have defined what “ethics” and “ethical” are;
- Creating an understanding, in Chapter 2, of what organizations can do for sustainability and social responsibility;
- Setting the tone, in Chapter 3, for more learning on equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigenization as it relates to ethical decision-making in Part 2; and
- Building a mental map for how to look at ethical situations by identifying important terminology and frameworks for ethical decision-making in Chapter 4.
