Part 1 of this book builds the foundation for the subsequent Parts of the book. Before going into the remaining Parts of the book, the reader can use Part 1 to refresh their understanding of key terms, concepts, and frameworks, namely:
- Doing a brief review in Chapter 1 of how people have defined what “ethics” and “ethical” are;
- Building a mental map for how to look at ethical situations by identifying important terminology and frameworks for ethical decision-making in Chapter 2;
- Creating an understanding, in Chapter 3, of what organizations can do for sustainability and social responsibility; and
- Setting the tone, in Chapter 4, for more learning on equity, diversity, inclusion, and indigenization in Parts 2 and 3.
