Open Educational Resource Grant
The University of Victoria provides grants for the purpose of the adoption, adaptation or development of Open Educational Resources (OERs), with the aim of replacing existing textbooks or other types of educational resources that can be prohibitively expensive. Ideally, the completed OERs will be useable not just at UVic, but other post-secondary institutions.

UVic Bookstore (with an account)
The Campus eBookstore at the University of Victoria offers a substantial list of free, Open Educational Resources available for download by registered UVic community members. In order to access these resources, the user must add the resource to their cart and checkout (no credit card required).
From the Bookstore:
“‘Why do I need to add a free item to my cart?'”
Campus E-Bookstore provides free eBooks for download. In order to maintain your bookshelf, we require that you create an account through the cart/checkout process. Creating an account only requires you to enter your email address and create a password. We do not require any additional information. Your bookshelf will allow you to re-download any files in case you lose them, or get a new computer.”
Users can copy content to their clipboard and print pages with no restriction. Resources download as PDF files and are available for life.
