Territorial Acknowledgment
Invite participants to do their own territorial acknowledgment
Description of Today’s Session
Ice breaker activity
- E.g. Snowball fight – write three statements about yourself on a piece of paper, crumple it up, and throw it at someone in the room. Continue to toss the ‘snowballs’ until sufficiently randomized. Pick one, standing in a circle, take turns reading them and as a group guess who the statements apply to.
- Ask participants to share reasons for including ice breaker activities; ask participants for examples that can be used – for online/ in-person/both.
Principles
- Review and discuss blended-learning principles as described on course site.

- What principle stand out to you as most important to consider when planning a lesson in a blended learning mode? Why? (Participants were asked to consider this prior to session.)
