11 Ready to Get Started?
Now that you’ve read over the basic course information…
- Make sure your computer can handle audio & video activities (most computers can these days). A headset or earbuds may improve your audio participation.
- Pull up your calendar & schedule in the synchronous and in-person sessions for this course. We will be sending Outlook invitations for the sessions once the course starts.
- Start thinking about a) your upcoming classes and how you might like to use the opportunities offered by both the online and in-person tools and strategies; and b) a topic for which you might like to develop a short active-learning lesson.
Once that’s out of the way, return to the Week 1 module:
- Read over the Week 1 Overview
- Read the Definitions section and consider how these definitions align with your own ideas about blended learning.
- Introduce yourself in the Introductions forum.
And finally…
- Do let us know if you have any questions. Post questions about the course material, schedule, or process in the Open Discussion Forum. If you have a more personal question, contact your facilitators.
The course ‘officially’ starts on Monday May 8th; however, we’ve made it available on Friday, May 5th. We look forward to connecting with you in our first synchronous class session on Monday, May 8th, 1:30-2:30pm. See you then!
