Part 2 – Generating 3D Maps


Now that the RPAS images have been imported into MetaShape and aligned using GCPs, the next steps are to create a dense point cloud, and a 3D surface mesh with textures in the desired projection.

The items above represent the main map products from photogrammetric images captured using an RPAS. They form the basis for creating other map products which will be further discussed in Part 3 – Digital Elevation Models & Orthophotos.
